The International King’s Cup Polo Tournament took place at Siam Polo park just outside Pattaya in February this year. Featuring teams from seven countries, the event was run over an eight day period, played partly on a league and partly on a knockout basis. We feature here the grand final played between Thailand and Dubai before a packed crowd of celebrity guests and followed by a gala dinner and concert in the spacious club grounds. This final match gave us some superb displays of horsemanship especially from the Thailand team’s world class guest players from Argentina, and although the result was never seriously in doubt, Thailand winning by 10 goals to 6, an excellent afternoon’s entertainment ensued.
